We all get frustrated. Not all of us have a cane to beat the ground with when we find ourselves disappointed. Tennessee football head coach Derek Dooley has been using all sorts of support to continue coaching since undergoing surgery for a hip fracture. From golf carts to stools, crutches and now a cane on the sidelines.
Coach Dooley, reacting to some performance on the field against Troy, lifted his cane with both hands and struck the ground (even knocking his headset off). I am sure there were many fans who were feeling his frustration as the Volunteers narrowly escaped the Troy Trojans with a 55-48 win on Homecoming. I saw the cane lift up from across the field, and even though it is not the best angle, I knew the moment should be captured.
